Charles,
Gas and electric will take of themselves and this will become apparent by mid summer. As far as the national debt I dont believe there will be any immediate affect on rates in this environment. Tax cuts are good for the economy. Surplus in this environment is bad. Even deficits have a place sometimes. Mike

The tax rebate won't change the national debt because we are already on target to pay down the debt to the extent we can without incurring penalties. If not paid out it would either add to cash reserves - depressing to the economy - or it will be spent - same effect as the rebate except that if spent it gives greatest satisfaction to the politicians and those they direct the spending to and if rebated it give the greatest satisfaction to those who get the rebates - generally the citizens.

Send your check back to the free-spending Uncle Sam if you feel that strongly....somehow, I don't think you will:-)

There's no free lunch.

Best I can tell Ya' ... try a different street corner. With a little effort on your part, you should be able find a decent entree, good lunch, and some desert, and some good coffee all for free, with a minor religious message attached.

I have to cut this off now, because I have to go start the Caddy, so I can pick up my welfare check and food stamps. Darn I just hate standing in line. I better get one of those Palm Pilots that Katherine recommends so I can co-ordinate the pick-up of those freebies. Now, which free software app would best suit this schedule?

Regards, Jerome
