Yeah. My point from the beginning has been that the discussion on the type twos begins and ends with "should we have a death penalty or not." For this reason we have a hugely broken system that stays broken because we are not involved passed the death penalty question. It wouldn't take that much to fix it if we could look passed the end of our noses. Unless the death penalty is effectively resolving all type two issues we should be seriously looking at constructive resolutions. It didn't seem that hard for a couple of laymen. I don't see the experts standing behind the current system with the confidence you just expressed. Next question is what would it take to get the powers that be to move on the "then what" question.
