If I were you, I would start with avantgo and then see if you need any other apps like vindigo. Since vindigo is a location based app, it may be redundant if you already have avantgo since there are many location based channels on avantgo like the weather channel and restaurant row.

OT -- John, here are the PDA links.

dir.yahoo.com
freewarepalm.net
handango.com
isilo.com
avantgo.com
vindigo.com

You should be able to find everything you need from these pages. Vindigo and Avant Go fill two different needs. You can think of Avant Go as an "archiver" of your favorite web pages on your Palm, so that you can read those pages when you're off the net. I use it often to read articles I am interested in on the subway.

Vindigo on the other hand is like a "city guide". It tells you what movies are playing and where and when they play. Or it helps you find the nearest Turkish restaurant to you and how you can get there (it even draws you a map). Unfortunately only the largest cities are supported. Recently I've heard of JunglePort as well, but I have not tried it.

You update both of them by syncing your PDA while you are connected to the Internet.

I hope this helps,
Sun Tzu
