I'm glad they zero in on debt because dammit, the concept of debt burden taken on by companies is conveniently being swept under the rug. It can't be ignored forever though as bankruptcies soar and in turn stings companies they owe money to.

In my business where I sell wholesale, my customers have quietly been trying to increase their outstanding invoices by paying slower.

I am not going to be a party to the increasing debt burden because all that will do is tempt the weaker ones to bk with all their vendor's money. Eff it, I cut off the ones who can't cut it until they start realizing they'll need to make us a priority or we're gone.

As traders watching all of this, we should all make a concerted effort to keep credit card balances to a minimum, imho, or else we only add to the problem. Same goes with borrowing to the hilt for car loans, homes etc.
