Hi Gary H,

Yes, Elders book is a good one, but so is Murphys book & Alexanders book.

For a real course in psychology, read James Dines book "The Invisible Crash" circa '73/74. Dines book documents (in part through his newsletters which are date-stamped), the euphoria & subsequent depression of the DOW & specific stocks & his constant harping to @ least keep @ 10% hedge in Gold, (& to increase it if possible) & dump stocks/bonds.

It really is a fascinating read... especially with all the headfakes Gold & the Dow that tricked a lot of investors.

Sometimes it does make sense to utilize the T.A. stuff & not isolate it from the macro fundamental bigger picture.

FWIW,
Peter
