I bet you are right - but not as to why. The key will be in decreased demand which will be a direct response to price. When the summer is over we will be able to look back and try to judge. My contention is that the short term disruptions of market costs are far less costly than the long term inefficiencies of government control. The current natural gas market is absolute proof - and guess what - gasoline prices are falling too - all without the government getting more involved to screw things up.
