What matters now is how the market reacts. Short interest had increased to 13% of the float by May..had been increasing every month...that is the short bets were already in place.
That may mean that the stock does not sink as much. If one was bearish on the telecom equipment, they would have dumped this stock long ago and bought up PC sector instead.
That is why it may not drop as much as it is indicated pre-market (39). I still expect a close in the 40s.

Competition is tougher for them.
I would actually buy Cisco on any significant weakness.

Just a bad sector waiting for its recovery; other areas are better bets in the near and intermediate term.
