The biggest concern is sexual predators using chatrooms to lure children. Another is using public records or hacking into unsecured sites to obtain SocSec no's. and then identity theft, credit card theft, etc. And variations on the same themes. Serial killers, plain harassment, ie, ordering 100's of magazine subscriptions, celebrity stalking, etc, etc, etc. Generally it is the use of the internet to facilitate stalking. Stalkers used to have do their thing on foot in person and on the phone. Now with the internet, it's no problem to expand the "market" worldwide.
