Technical problems delay trading in some NYSE stocks

NEW YORK, June 8 (Reuters) - Technical problems at the New York Stock Exchange delayed the opening of trading in some
stocks on Friday, a trader said.

``There are some problems down there in a couple of the posts,'' said Michael Lyons, a trader at Morgan Stanley. ``That has held
up opening some of the stocks in the area.''

NYSE representatives were not immediately able to comment.

An unknown number of stocks were affected by the problem, Lyons said. Trading was going on in some parts of the floor of the NYSE.
