So, what is their advantage? There are certainly other big players with strong market shares, including Sun and IBM, and I don't see anyone with a big technology advantage, particularly not one based on technology over which they have some proprietary control. It seems to me that the big deal in that market these days is full implementation of J2EE, which while an broad standard, is certainly not under BEAS control. In fact, the biggest advantage that I have seen so far is the "whole product" aspect of IBM's and Sun's offerings.
