I guess my point is that praying for a warning to happen in the morning to stop a major rally like the one intc kicked off last night is a good way to get in a lot of trouble. I know that knight was not holding any shorts - he made a call but was smart enough to not gamble on those long odds. I just hope that all the lurkers with less experience do not get any ideas the next time this comes to pass - it will probably not come out the same way.

Tom Hua: I agree with Wes Stevens. If JNPR had not done the Nasty, the NASDAQ would be rocking and well over 2300. I'm somewhat surprised at the NASDAQ response, given the rose-colored glasses investors have adopted during the past month. Interesting that a good ol' fashioned major earnings miss can still roil the market. The next two weeks will be interesting and totally unpredictable. I remain on the sidelines, hoping for a sub-2000 entry point for the UOPIX shares ("super-QQQ's") later this month.
