Political ideology has nothing to do with suspensions. You know it, I know it, everyone here knows it.

Bringing Poet, who had a personal issue that was not political, into your argument is low, even for you.

I bookmarked that thread awhile back, but frankly it was so boring I don't even look at it. It's mostly just ditto, ditto, ditto. Inbreeding is not healthy, for dogs or people. Moderated threads are a good example of why that's true.

There's this other problem with moderation, if you choose to start a moderated thread, and you aren't in line with the right wing political orthodoxy that dominates SI, you'll probably be hounded off the site one way or the other.

I've seen a lot of polarization to the right or the left but from what I can see SI is not dominated by the right. This thread certainly is not and in off topic posts on stocktalk threads there are plenty of posts from the left. Thre are plenty of conservative coffee talk threads but there is also "The Left Wing Porch", the "Impeach George Bush" thread, The Enviromentalist Thread, Saving the Alaska Wildlife Refuge (ANWR: People’s version), and other less active threads.
