Talk about an unusual start-up in the fiber optics field...

Here's a Chicago firm that has raised $475 Million so far (in under 18 months) and they have NO customers.

Wow, it would be great for Chicago if they can really deliver for their stakeholders. Otherwise, they'll become another cover story for the business magazines...=)

Best Regards,

Scott

Thanks Tim,

It looks like JNPR's announcement made, "Bad news is good news", turn back into "Bad news is bad news". It's so true that the market climbs a wall of worry. Even so, it needs something to sustain that climb. Where is the good news?

The Fed's massive pumping of liquidity is not, IMO, sufficient to sustain an advance. It certainly can prime the pump, but not much more. Sound economic & corporate fundamentals are necessary. I just don't see enough of them at this point in time to have a bullish outlook near term.

FWIW, my current short positions are still in the red just a tad, but they are one more down draft from being profitable. If profits present themselves, I'll take them & reassess the situation as it unfolds.

Thanks Tim. Took my 16% profit and ran to the bank. Not bad for 3 days. I'll take it.

Got to keep the greed factor in check in this market.
