Well this wintel machine I have was super fast when I first got it but now that we have gotten to know each other it seems to have slowed way down. I am not so sure that the reason is just simply that it is a POS software/hardware (please dont explain about fragments etc, the durn defrag program seems to have been written in 1972! plus ive got substantial ramboram). I think just maybe it is finally getting my number and is just spending most of its processing power keeping an eye on me waiting to strike! (as alluded by DJ earlier! are we too paranoid? the thread header is not to optimistic, maybe we need a Golden age of 2002 thread to support the coming earnings turnaround predictions, i dont think the machine really cares about that notice that the NYSE puters were on strike this morning, wonder why?)
