TSX soon to be a penny stock last 1.04

bounced off $1 already

You just know there is money to be made when people on SI make declarations like that :)

Always money to be made, but the statement was not a wild one, the minute it trades $0.99 it is in penny land. Give it a few days to week , itl'll get there. It has no other choice now, too many funds have to dump it because of its credit rating downgrade. Another Laidlaw in the making IMHO

Edit, don't forget the 820 million shares outstanding , should act like an elephant sitting on a mouse. Funds and institutions were large holders .

Globe says 360networks faces Friday payment

360networks Inc TSX

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that speculation that
360networks may be forced to default on part of its $2.5-billion (U.S.)
debt was heightened again on Tuesday after the company declined to say
whether or not it will make a key bond payment that comes due on Friday.
Reporter Peter Kennedy says that after scaling back plans to build a global
fibre network, the Vancouver-based company said on Tuesday that it
continues to talk with strategic investors in a bid to close a $300-million
financing gap it needs to fill within the next four months. With reports
suggesting that French telecommunications equipment maker Alcatel SA may
not be willing to provide the financing for 360networks' network plans,
attention has turned to an $11-million bond payment due Friday. Company
officials said as recently as last month that the company would pay down
future debt payments, including the interest payments due June 15 on its
12.5-per-cent unsecured noted. On Tuesday, officials were less definitive.
