Could be earnings, could also be the EMC layoffs are scaring a lot of folks on visibility for the storage sector.

EMC announced an effort with brocade and SAN interests (like SUNW and IBM) to improve multi-supplier storage arrangements. If it works, it will give buyers greater selection, while assuring stability. That would not be a plus for NAS companies.

Many sellers? On a day when volume was about 50% of average daily volume (5.724MM shares vs. Avg. Daily of 11.230MM shares)?!?!

Its not NTAP's fault its a loss of Liquidity in the market. NTAP just partnered with ORACLE and also just expanded by launching a Canadian subsidiary, Network Appliance of Canada LTD, not what would occur if NTAP was going to mis earnings. Sounds like NTAP is doin very well indeed. see my post at: Message 15943343
