<Won't be needed by whom? >

Already, humans have decided humans aren't needed by humans. The population is on the way down as women [and men] choose not to reproduce around the world. People are going to fizzle out if the trend continues. The "I want to have children" gene is being selected by evolution as we speak. Children are no longer produced [mainly] by the "I want to have sex" genes. It will be interesting to see how powerful the "I want to have children" gene is.

Just as we don't "need" our progenitor chimps, IT will not feel the need for the sort of humans currently crowding the planet. The world is now separating into cyberspace humans and the rest... the gap is growing. There is a qualitative difference between cyberspace humans and the rest. War of the worlds?
