Every case has been thoroughly examined.

Your evidence for that?

There was no DNA testing done of cases over perhaps 10 years old, and certainly no way to do DNA or other evidence testing on cases from the 60s and 70s and 80s.

There are very few if any ways to test whether a young black man in Alabama convicted in 1955 of raping a white girl and tried by an all white Southern jury and put to death was really guilty.

I don't know whether you were in the South in the 50s and 60s. I was. I saw injustice after injustice first hand. Look at the fact that only now have we brought to trial one of the bombers in the Birmingham murder case. Justice then was not what we know of as justice now. And even now, we KNOW that people have in the past ten years been put on death row who were not only not guilty, but were outright innocent. If we didn't have DNA testing now to PROVE innocence, there's no doubt that some of those people would have been put to death.

If you truly think that no innocent people have been executed in the past fifty years, well, you believe it. But I work in the system, and I know better.
