Hey, Mr. Mark,

I have an Intel Celeron 501 Mhz.. 128 MB approx. 2 years old.

Monitor = Relisys 772 Adapter = NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64

Microsoft Win 98 Ver 4.10.2222 A (is this edition 2? Because I know I used to have edition 2)

I have "SiSoft Sandra" and Dr. Hardware" on my desktop. Lots of information, but fairly insensible to me. I also have "Nuts and Bolts, Deluxe" (disabled) available. It only seemed to add to my memory problems, etc. So I uninstalled it.

A friend had been helping me with my computer back when times were good. Eventually, it could not be rebooted, and so he left! I got it going in safe mode and loaded a previous registry, but it has never ran well since--so I am sure it was more than one problem.

Once again, my intuition tells me that the monitor problem is related to the memory problem, because if I shut down for a while and restart--I DO get color back...TEMPORARY color.

There is a lot of data on those above programs. I downloaded them off the net, and I'm sure some of you are probably familiar with them. I just don't have any idea how to interpret the data.

I know I have found the place for help, though--and I will be patient!
