Pat, for the past 30 years we have enabled out kids with more freedom and power as well as rights. I am sad to say we have not changed their natural rate of maturation. That means we have kids with rights and powers in ecess of their degree of maturity. This shows up as underage drinking as well as the shootings at schools. We have also been victimised by more and more union activity so the % of the school budget that goes to wages has gone up and the number of teachers has fallen as has the equipment purchased. That means more bullying goes unseen and unstopped and this makes those gun toting loners able to use their freedom to cause trouble. In addition the lower level of supervision allows gangs to form. All due to excess wages paid to unions that resulted inless watchfullness in the schools. This is called thelaw of unintended consequences. You pay more money and you get less since the budget does not grow at the same rates as teachers wages and so we let the teacher numbers fall and lower their supervisory work load and the end result is growth of gangs. To stay will have the corruption infect your soul. In my family and my wife's family, divorce is just about unknown. So when you look for a partner for life, consider the family and how the person is raised. Since the only one of 16 in my and my wife's family of aunts and uncles has ever divorced and the one that did married a guy from California, be extremely cautious of any person raised in California as the numbers suggest that there are a lot of bad apples. Many Californian's live in a culture with totally different family values. I suspect practice that you connot comprehend anything President Bush could say on family values as you understanding of such is the same as someone from mars or California, fruit and nut land. you all have a nice day. tom watson tosiwmee
