Those are very good points. Do you think there is actually that level incompetence and malice in the system? If there is, then it would seem that a fundamental overhaul of the entire justice system is in order. Would you be in favor of a flat rate for lawyers? How about regular evaluations for competency? How about automation? Do you even see any hope that a fix is possible?

Personally, while your points are well taken, I would be more in favor of raising the bar for a capital conviction, and keeping the death penalty. Also, a life sentence that meant life, for those cases that failed to meet the level of certainty, but were compelling enough to convict might be of use.(EDIT) I just read your prior post, I didn't realize you already had L.W.P.
