For most, going to college is their first experience with being independent from their parents. Part of the college experience is learning how to be an adult, and making mistakes is part of that process. Children like the Bush girls, or any of those in high political office, don't have the chance to be normal, and make normal people's mistakes. If it was Joe Blow's daughter down the street, everyone would have nodded their heads knowingly and with a slight smile, and it would have been over with.

Im not saying it is ok, or that teenage drinking is acceptable. But it is UNDERSTANDABLE, and most of us have been there ourselves.
