Re: from Kap:On the other hand, the M-tang/Palomino core was completely redone with custom-designed logic for speed and short-circuit evaluations to minimize number of circuit switches and to save power. Also the drive strengths of non-critical path circuits were reduced to minimize power consumption.

On top of that we have a bunch of new architectural features like PowerNow, SSE, HW prefetch and TLB improvements.

I understand you were very active on the thread the last days. That's why I hope you do not mind if I am particularly interested in your take about the significance of the core changes mentioned by Kap in what matters the recent discussions (probably initiated from you. Not sure about that though.)
