Sounds like lash-back to the anti-foreigner demonstrations that were taking place over the past couple of months. And I'm not so sure that it's so much blatant racism, as it is resentment at being forced to pay the welfare costs of so many foreigners who are automatically being granted asylum. But as you've been pointing out, and correctly so, Europe is pretty xenophobic and jingoistic, but I think Britain has traditionally been less so considering the far-flung empire they possessed. But that's interesting to know that CS gas in the UK is far stronger than in the US. Hawk
