Bush hasn't committed perjury, hasn't gotten hold of FBI files on his political enemies and rifled through them for months. Hasn't hidden documents from congress, hasn't drummed up phony charges against decent people in the travel office, and hasn't sold the Lincoln bedroom and sacred gravestone plots for political contributions.

When will you get it, Clinton was Clinton's worst enemy, not the press. The press largely gave him a pass until he committed perjury and obstruction of justice. Even then it was all framed around politics trying to undue his legacy.

Maybe the press beated mindlessly on Clinton because of Clinton's actions, but the media (for the most part) justly left Chelsea alone. Beating mindlessly on Bush's daughters for doing things that so many others are doing is worse than what was done to Clinton based on his actions and on his decision to be a public figure.

Actually, Scumbria, the press gave Clinton a free-ride in spite of his scurrilous behavior. They are pretty rough on Bush, relatively speaking.
