In 1975 I charted stocks by hand using graph paper, colored pens and WSJ prices. Sometime in the 80's I'm not exactly sure when... I bought my first computer. An 8088 and began dialing a DecVax to get charts. It's not odd that I don't recall the name of the service but do remember the type of computer they had.

some opinions:

All this talk about stock picks is much ado about nothing. busy, busy, busy but nothing comes of it except vending. So what, let those that want to vend -- vend. who cares. I don't. One things certain. Nobody would vend if they could do better trading. The thought that one can do both is absurd. The ideas run counter to each other. They don't exist in the same universe.
