Ciena just reaffirmed (last week) CYQ2 and 2001 earnings. Looks like the remainder of the year is in the bag, barring last minutes cancellations. The latter is less likely than in Q1 with the amount of liquidity AG put to work.

I think that CIEN price will move with JNPR. Although, you probably realize this market is all about short-term. One of these days, the short-termers are going to wake up to one of the biggest fake-outs in history. CIEN which is in long haul and now metro is supplying the No. 1's with the fastest way to get from A-Z. When that happens, sometime in mid-2002, the market will switch to long term. And I'm not talking about just CIEN but any company that is in need of fast information - the sender and sendee.

The big fake-out is coming. And all those posters on the MDD thread are slowly losing sight of it.
