Terayon - THIS IS HUGE...

I think this contitutes a huge step forward for Terayon and its validation in the important cable/last mile space...It seems like DOCSIS has finally seen the sense and incorporated Terayons S-CDMA technology into its next generation standards i.e. DOCSIS 2.0

Now it has been legitimised in this way some of the more sqeamish cable operators will be able to feel more comforatble with it and should soon be able to experience the rather large advantages S-CDMA brings to their business plans...Also incorporated was "more of the same" in Advanced-TDMA.

- However it is highly important to note Terayons prowess here. Its newly approved DOCSIS chips incorporates BOTH S-CDMA AND Adv-TDMA in the SAME CHIP! Its a double win of sorts!

I know we have some Gorilla Gamers here, they may like to take note - we at least - should have the potential of a powerful "king" here and maybe even a "Gorilla" should the IPR free pool prove nascent in providing the essential (& difficult!) S-CDMA knowhow as I think it will...

Oh yes, these chips are also FULLY compatible with the past DOCSIS 1.0 & 1.1 Standards too!

Regards
