Nice to see Solon instruct you more in the mysteries of truth & reason , objectivity vs subjectivity. Perhaps make you a little more humble before the great altar of an awakening mind .<g> He did a masterful job shaping and influencing the intractable clay between your ears . I sense much of the reason of his words is slightly sinking in ? Jesus might have intended for you from the start to be humbled on the altar of a superior reasoning force . Solon is the Universe , and you are the cowering dumb little creature clutching his book of ancient little tribal stories up in front of your eyes.<g> Has Solon ever appeared to be an egregious materialist or uncaring and unfeeling ? Or has he denied any of the specific simple beatitudes morals and virtues you might present before him ? No . He has only questioned the validity of such claims you would make of being somehow ordained as a chosen one , holding all the virtual keys to such a Truth and imagined Kingdom . all to the detriment and derailment of understandings that come from so vast a universe of other sources , besides the trials and tribulations of one small Semetic tribe on the earth's and man's long stretches of existence . You cannot be so blind as to think a Universal Divine Being behind all this wonderful and beautiful orderliness would have only chosen to reveal himself to one such small tribe and their descendants , at only one point in history while ignoring all others ? Easy for many like you , who try so little to do any proper or open search and study understanding the many other manifestations and soures of wisdom , truth , reason, love and search for justice and even divinity , that took place in many other times and places and has added much more to the bulk of the firmament which you are now standing upon than you dare choose to be aware of . I have to thank you greg , for Solon just put on a masterful performance (exhibiting much patience) in his exchanges with you and if you just look a little deeper ...a little more light might just be shining down on you than was before. ;-) Mars PS: Whether you wanted it or no...some of your deepest prayers have just been answered on the level of reason. But the heart has it's reasons ...that reason does not know.
