Err, not quite. It was overlay of GSM (which of course is based on TDMA) and the GSM core, not ANSI-41. Research in the UK was non-conclusive apart form Vodafone saying there was no financial incentive to go the GSM-cdmaOne overlay route.

Chaz, my comment is "I didn't write it!"

Naturally either way works, but if you go the GSM route you can utilise a broader range of handsets and therefore a greater differentiation of service.
