one can write much more sophisticated regression tests and that could reduce the bugs which make it into the product. also anything which reduces edit-simulate-fix cycle to under 5 seconds definitely improves implementation productivity (not necessarily design productivity)

and with computers 1000x faster, one can do porno VR games too :-)
