Israel and Palestinians must first implement a cease-fire and only then should the parties look at confidence-building measure such as a freeze in settlement construction, said Javier Solana, the European Union's chief foreign policy official.

Israel has been trying to garner international support for its claim that the Mitchell Committee recommendations call for a cease-fire prior to a freeze in settlements.

However, the Palestinian Authority is insisting that the freeze in settlements come as part of a cease-fire deal

Solana made his comments in answer to a question from JPost Radio, during a news conference in Jerusalem this afternoon.

Solana was flanked by Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and Swedish Prime Minister and EU president Goran Persson.

Despite your claims to victim-hood, you pro-Israeli, Jewish types seem to be one of the most narrow-minded, homophobic, and racist people there are.

Did daddy play with you too much for you to be homophobic?

Did the other boys beat you up and now you hate anyone not Jewish?

What this about your being the chosen people? Arrogance to say the least...
