Mark, I had already run Win Doctor but this was Disk Doctor and unfortunately I let it make repairs so no joy there. What I may do is try a Windows Update and then see what happens. There are several I have not done. I am set up for auto updates but haven't had any in a long time. I will give it a try and let you know.

Thanks for the quick reply but that seems normal on this thread. :)

Mark,

Just tried to use Windows Update. Every thing seemed to be going fine until I got the message..."The following updates were not installed.......Internet explorer error reporting Could not complete installation because the download was unsuccessful."

Now if I try Win Disk again maybe I will get the error message (or not), and this time I will write it down!
