Yes I have. I visited my son three years ago and arranged to meet Ron who I had become acquainted with through the GRNO thread here on S.I. My son and I spent a good part of a day with Ron on my son's boat, cruising around the D.C. area and we had lunch at a riverside restaurant near the Watergate, yes that Watergate. I had spent two years at Andrews AFB (scene of my encounter with Dobbin/Diablo/T-Rex) and my son was stationed there in the Marines at the time of my visit. The area is quite different looking from a boat on the Potomac and Anacostia rivers.
