I'm not a student of Israeli politics but just from what I've read I have the feeling that the Palestinians provoke and provoke and when the Israeli's finally retaliate it's called escalation.

As I remember the Palestinians were allowed to live in Israel as long as they caused no problems and the West Bank is an area Israel took when they were attacked and then won the war.

I was a medic in Germany when one of the clashes happened in '70. My MASH unit was supposed to go to help the wounded on both sides but it was over before we could get loaded. Over was fine by me as I had two days left before my discharge.

Wow. One dead Israeli baby to balance the hundreds of dead Palestinians. Pardon me if I don't shed tears for the kid. His parents should have protect him better, as you are so fond of suggesting for the Arabs...
