<<<Why are people in your faith, so full of hatred toward those who are non-believers of your faith? That's what I can't understand. I harbor no malice toward people who don't believe in God. Why do atheists harbor so much malice toward those that do?>>

I see no evidence of this. I believe they just want to be left alone.

Gore Stole Kerry Seat at Moakley Funeral
newsmax.com
It must be hard being Al Gore.

They say his weight has balooned as he has become the
invisible political man.

Now word is that he didn?t like the way he was treated -
and seated - at the June 1 funeral for the late Democratic
Congressman Joe Moakley.

Reportedly Gore took it upon himself to fix matters, to
the consternation of Moakley?s staff and family.

Moakley?s Boston funeral mass drew a huge VIP list,
including Pres. Bush and former President Bill Clinton.

According to staff sources, Gore rsvp?ed his attendance
and was slated to slit in row three, behind row one which
was reserved for Bush, Clinton, Senator Ted Kennedy,
Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift, Congressman David
Bonior and Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.

Gore was apparently miffed by the seat assignment and
ignored requests he sit in the third row, and took a front
row seat next to Clinton.

His placement robbed Senator Kerry of his front row seat,
forcing him to retreat to Gore?s third row place.

"Some noses got out of joint, and there was some stirring
when Gore suddenly showed up and took the seat,? a Moakley
aide is reported to have said. "But Kerry handled it well.
He just moved back.?

Mike, I have no hatred, I know what they are and do not trust them. I cannot be bothered hating people I do not know. When I see the abuses that go on it makes me wonder at the sanity of man in general. I am sure of my sanity, but look at the religious strifes in the world today, all among people who are so close they are like peas in a pod genetically.
Ireland, Afghanistan, Israeli/arabs and there are more

Bill

I harbor no malice toward people who don't believe in God. Why do atheists harbor so much malice toward those that do?

Because in the heart of every atheist is a longing for knowledge of place and purpose, and inestimable bitterness because of ignorance. All atheists, every single one of them, craves God, often more than most. But they cannot in any way perceive Him. When goofy theists come along to claim the sweet knowledge desperately wanted by the atheists, the theists become the straw that breaks the camel’s back. “You are all idiots!” the atheist in effect says. “You don’t know Him! If I don’t know Him, you can’t possibly know Him!”

Of course they err when they set terms upon how God should be revealed. When God chooses not to reveal Himself according to these terms, the atheists grow in bitterness, eventually turning from Him. To ease their hungry souls they try to find meaning in nothing, vehemently declaring God non-existent and that death is all there is. They of course haven’t the foggiest idea what lies beyond the grave, but they must convince themselves that they know or that they at least function most reasonably, this, to find peace. This is why atheists are so vocal about their religion. Atheism is but a temper tantrum.

Atheists are religionists who feel compelled to shout from the rooftops that God does not exist. Many of them are evangelists much as is our friend here. They are quick to become heated when their religion is challenged because such challenges threaten to destroy their feeble attempts to find meaning and comfort in this utterly lonely universe. They are the counterparts of theistic religionists who feel compelled to shout from the rooftops that God in fact does exist. These theistic religionists are quick to become heated when their religions are challenged because such challenges ever confirm their true belief that God is not there. Like the atheist, they are horrified by their loneliness and meaninglessness and employ boisterousness as compensation. Their temper tantrums come from deeply rooted insecurity.
