Greywolf, Agreed- As a former member of the Carter Administration- we have a serious security problem here.

Remember that President Carter said that the energy problem is the "moral equivalent of war." Well you may be too young to remember that or President Nixon's 1971 price controls and why they will not work in the electrical industry if tried again by the Senate.

The 7% or so of Coastal ANWR should be opened to exploration immediately- no questions asked. AND even with Coastal ANWR opened, and success had there, we are way short of what we need energy-wise.

Wind power, nuclear power, let's get cracking- These all are necessary to support our energy posture....

Very critical for our children and their future, that we work our way around the reactionary, "maginot line" attitude of the green lobby here....
