re: Pleasantville; yes, the Jeff Daniel part I can't recollect 100% but I was astonished by both the writing and directorial artfulness that goes into good scenes like that...imo, its --in a fashion---like putting paint to canvas or a tweeking of a note or phrase in a sonata or a foxtrot.
