Jerome and Mike, re >you could be making good returns in other areas of the market.< I read that phrase often and seldom are the "other areas" revealed. :) So the statement is meaningless for lack of definition.

And Jerome, the drillers are being abandoned by many of the knowledgable people I read. You only have to look at OSX to see it has struggled in a band for almost a year. Good earnings but the stocks aren't going anywhere. Sound familiar? I'm beginning to think ECMs will be where it's at again, like next spring or sooner.

Today will almost certainly be the third down day in a row for both nasdaq and amat. This is the bottom end of the recent trading range for both. Would you be buying later today or tomorrow? mike
