<<Anyone want to comment on the "most likely to succeed"? >>
that's a tough question, sector. as everyone knows (but often forgets), it's not necessarily the best technology that wins the ultimate reward--going from "most likely to succeed" to the "most successful". at this stage, i'd go with those that have the most money behind them. not certain, but my guess would be terabeam and airfiber have more funding at this stage.... they also have sales forces, through NT and LU (i know, so what?) to sell the products. so, w/o going into tech detail, i'd give the nod to Air Fiber and Terabeam as the short-term winners.... however, with AirFiber's focus on ATM, i think they might be missing the boat for the long-term.

yes, i know OPXS has 3k installed (likely more by now). i think it will be right there in the mix with AirFiber and Terabeam and has a good shot to win the race.... much depends on funding and sales staffing. sure would like to see some sort of teaming with a larger player, such as Alcatel.... whether it's a formal selling agreement or an acquisition. i like OPXS' focus on ethernet solutions. and i think the ML report gives us a very good reminder of the possibilities in the european market with the announcement of the Skanova deal back in january. maybe deutche telecom can be next...?
