Yes, and we have mercury and other problems with Lakes Eirie and Ontario I understand.

I'm biking distance to Lake Ontario, where the Rouge river enters the lake and was down there on the Sunday after supper with the kids, skipping stones feeding the ducks, geese, swans.... Lots of people fishing... God only knows why. There is still a commercial fishery on Lake Erie I believe, again why I don't know :o) Apparently we can still eat the fish from Lakes Huron and Superior though. It is cool to go and watch the salmon run in the spring though.

It's probably just moot as we live pretty close to a Ontario Hydro Nuclear plant (wife's cousin's husband works there). Plus we all glow in the dark :o)
