Hi CB, From first hand experience annecdote ... ballpoint pen and refills made in the US cost 5-10 x more than equal quality pen and refill made in China, depending on ultimate source of ink (imported ink still better, as in no plop of ink on initial contact between pen and paper). My English Jewish brother helped a US client to rev China sourcing from zero to $3 mm within 12 months, and growth prospect looking good, inclusive of gift box the pens come in.

Flip side, we know there is no dumping because we know the accounting intimately. Currently all made in Shanghai, for us, but cheaper still sourcing being prepared further inland.

Chugs, Jay
