I had a laugh at the "official" report too. Here is what Qualcomm said around that time: cdg.org "In addition to the technical trial results, QUALCOMM will present business and economic information related to the hybrid GSM-CDMA technology" Thisd was a good lark: Note that in that statement Vodafone is missing. Qualcomm did try extolling the financial virtues with some rather dubious slides that I have seen presented at conferences here in Europe, but to no avail. The technical trials were successful, but the financial impact is laughable and my comment - well that was the "official" reaction. As for Globalstar as a consequence, need I say more?
