Well, I don’t think the responses are very reasonable and if you wish I will prove it. I think our friend merely has an axe to grind against theists and we see this in the nature of his responses. The responses are highly emotional and do not set forth complete arguments or even a truly logical train of thought. For example, our friend claims there is no point in trying to change him, and that only an “intervention” will convince him to change, as if these “interventions” are well-known packaged goods available in the dairy case of any corner grocery store. It may have something to do with the fact of my not owning a television set, but I unfortunately do not know of these “interventions.” It seems the idea has absolutely no meaning in a discussion of this nature. Just what sort of an “intervention” do you suppose he has in mind?

Very well then, what would do the trick for you? Perhaps you would like the sun to fall into the sea? Or, let say you perhaps you would like to see a man changed into a cow and then back again? Would that do it? Perhaps you’d like to witness a worldwide event wherein all rocks begin to speak God’s Name. Would that classify as an “intervention” sufficient to change you? Let you and any other atheist reading my words describe the “intervention” sufficient to cause you to give your trust, devotion and worship to God.
