He makes a good argument for wanting deflation but I would think in a land of over savers, you would want inflation instead of deflation. If the whole nation is stuffing their mattresses with cash, why not make that cash lose buying power so they are induced into buying before it loses more value and thus spurring consumption?

Hey, what is all this red on my screen? I thought INTC said everything was fine in clownville and that markets only went up? -g-

i fully agree...a quick wash-out would make a lot more sense than the muddling through policies of recent years.
