Hi Don,

Thanks for the LA Times citation. I have to admit, I do like Lockyer's proposed punishment for Ken Lay. Lockyer is merely proposing to do physically to Lay what Lay has been doing figuratively to the 24 million Californians who have been victimized by ENE's arrogance and cupidity.

BTW, did you happen to see the news today that ENE has now decided that they want to start commodity trading in semiconductors? They're going to start with DRAMs. This should do wonders for industry price stability and sensible planning among the semiconductor manufacturers. <w>

Frankly, ENE's bandwidth trading scheme appears to have been essentially stillborn. I really have to wonder about the trader mentality of this firm. It seems that they view their role in life is to interpose themselves between willing buyers and willing sellers and create chaos for the sake of windfall intermediated profiteering. How this benefits the traders is clear. How this benefits society is beyond me. Capitalism run amok, IMHO.

JM2C, Ray :)
