whether the telecomm and ISP industry will have the financial strength and
stomach to spend money on any of them and at what level.
recently many so call guru analysts have been forecasting decline in spending in 2002 .
the same analysts have been forecasting only 10-15% growth this year after rising 30% last year, just two quarter ago.
non of them have seen such dramatic slowdown in economy in 2001.
the most popular model is that spending is a function of cash flow.
however, nobody what to point out that cash flow is a function of customer demand (economy).
if economy will regain momentum in by mid 2002, demand will increase so do investment in new , profitable networks.
right now carriers have upper hands and forcing vendors to give big discounts.
this will end, once demand from different customers will go up.
in week economy every product is offer with discount. it stops when economy is strong.
