Here is where I think things get bogged down. Some people think they have to have been served some sort of "retribution;" some think they have to go through an episode of "forgiveness." I don't see either one as having the juice to gratify the needy.

To me Tim's death resolves the issue. Tim is history. I can deal with the subject that way. His judgement, punishment, mercy or what ever is a done deal. I don't figure its my business and simply don't care.

Maybe. He has told me in the past that only God can know what is wise and just. It may be that he has had second thoughts on that score. I would not presume to guess...

Or maybe he is glad that McVeigh got his just desserts

It reminds me of that movie "Unforgiven." The kid finally commits a cold blooded killing, and then wrestles with his guilt and conscience. "He had it coming," he stammers to Eastwood. Clint squints and gives him that sidelong look..."We all have it coming, Kid!"

Everybody dies, Neocon. If your idea of justice is death, then everyone will get their fair share.
