Last year figures we have is (published this thread) was 20K tonnes in 1998. According to Kester, number of soldered joints in electronics increases at average rate of 4% per year.

You will also find most likely new solder alloys posted to this thread.

I did a rough calculation once and thought 20moz was a good number:

Another poster suggested 50moz. Total silver demand runs
about 850moz, so 20/50 would be a 2.4%/5.9% increase.
