See, I'm far from sure that might be reason Gates might have popped more into silver, its the main reason I can come up with. I'm really not sure the alloy they pick won't be the one that is only 1/2%.

Based on what I see at the Silver Institute site we should be hurting for silver now. I'm guessing this demand might (read this as MIGHT MAYBE PERHAPS) be enough to push demand higher than supply.

I do , though, feel pretty good about that number of 4% average increases in overall solder joints in electronics. I'm also pretty sure Europe will force non Pb solder sooner rather than later(starting phase in 2002 rather than 2004). All the way there by 2006? US & 3rd world by 2008?
